Terms of Service

Welcome to PrayBefore. By using our app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use PrayBefore.

PrayBefore is operated by OMNIWAY (Đorđe Stanišić).

1. Use of the App

PrayBefore is a Christian prayer and Bible app available on iOS, Android, and the web. Features may include Bible reading, saved verses, prayer journaling, guided AI prayers, insights, verse image creation, and — on iOS — Prayer Lock, which uses Apple’s Screen Time / Family Controls APIs to temporarily limit selected apps during prayer.

Access to some features may require an active PrayBefore Pro subscription.

You may only use the app for its intended purpose. Misuse — including attempts to bypass, manipulate, or circumvent locking, subscription, or security features — is prohibited.

2. Accounts & Data

An account is optional. You can use core local features without signing in; data is stored on your device (including via local storage such as Hive / Shared Preferences).

If you create an account (email/password, Google, or Apple via Firebase Authentication), certain data (such as verses, prayers, and related preferences) may sync to our backend (Cloud Firestore) so you can use PrayBefore across devices.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may delete your account and associated cloud data from within the app where that option is provided.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

PrayBefore may be free to download, but a paid subscription (PrayBefore Pro) may be required for key features. On iOS and Android, payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, managed via RevenueCat. Web billing, if offered, is handled separately and disclosed at purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to the store’s rules. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID, Google Play, or other applicable account settings.

All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law or by Apple’s / Google’s own refund policies.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate and improve PrayBefore, including:

• RevenueCat — subscription status and purchase handling
• Firebase (Google) — authentication, cloud sync (Firestore), analytics, crash reporting (Crashlytics), and Cloud Functions
• OpenAI — generation of AI-based guided prayer content (via our backend)
• Crisp — in-app support chat
• Apple Screen Time / Family Controls — Prayer Lock on iOS (app names in your selection stay private to Apple’s system; we receive opaque counts, not app names)

We do not sell your personal data for advertising. Providers process data only as needed to provide their services, subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Use the app for unlawful or unintended purposes
• Reverse engineer, tamper with, or circumvent core functions (including Prayer Lock or paywall/subscription checks)
• Abuse AI features, support chat, or APIs (e.g. scraping, spam, automated abuse)
• Exploit bugs or errors in the app

We may restrict or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if use compromises the service.

6. Age Requirement

PrayBefore is intended for a general audience (including App Store age rating 4+ where applicable). Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising use by minors and for any purchases made by them.

7. AI-Generated Content & Spiritual Content

Guided prayers and similar content may be generated using AI (OpenAI) and are for inspirational and personal devotion only. They are not a substitute for pastoral care, professional counseling, medical advice, or formal theological teaching.

Bible texts shown in the app come from publicly available translations we license or redistribute as permitted; translation names and copyright notices in the app apply.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

PrayBefore is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding effectiveness for focus or spiritual outcomes, availability, or uninterrupted operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OMNIWAY and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of PrayBefore.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The Effective Date above will be updated when we publish a new version.
